Touring Car Rules
1. A list of bodyshells will be distributed to members before a new championship begins.
2. Bodyshells cannot be cut above their designated trim lines
3. Only the rear wing supplied with your bodyshell can be used.
4. Bodyshells have to be attached to your chassis when racing otherwise your car will be removed from the track until rectified.
5. No aerodynamic aids for under body or chassis are allowed except for an under tray and dirt cover.
6. No part of the running gear can extend beyond the bodyshell.
7. Only the air vents and grills moulded on your bodyshell can be cut out for ventilation purposes.
8. All cars must have their club number, clearly visible on the bodyshell in three places. (Preferable black numbers on a white background).
9. Roll over masts are not permitted.
10. Minimum weight of your car cannot be under 1500grams for four-wheel drive, as ready to run less transponder.
11. Minimum weight of your car cannot be under 1400grams for two-wheel drive, as ready to run less transponder.
12. Only one drive motor to be used.
13. Brushless motors are not allowed.
14. Any type of motor winding is legal.
15. No special magnets for motors allowed (i.e.) cobalt.
16. Wheel nuts must not extend more than 1.5mm, past the wheel rim.
17. Any sponge or rubber tyre is legal.
18. Tyre warmers are legal.
19. Tyres and wheels cannot extend more than 10mm outside the wheel arches.
20. Use of slipper clutches is not allowed.
21. Use of torque distribution systems is not allowed.
22. Use of anti-lock braking systems (A.B.S) is allowed.
23. The racetrack has to be of a minimum three-metre width at any single point.
24. The start/finish line has to be clearly marked.
25. Heats and finals will run for five minutes.
26. Heats will run with staggered starts
27. Finals will be run in a grid formation, with spacing of three metres between each car.
28. Each competitor has to be in at least one heat to qualify to run in the final.
29. Races will be run with a maximum of eight cars in the ‘A' final. A maximum of ten cars in the ‘B' final and a minimum of three cars in any final.
30. Packing away the track layout has to be done by all racing members, as soon as the last final has finished.
31. A first aid kit will be made available at the computer station.
